As my husband would say: “Explain me that.”
I’m a quick study; I got it immediately. See how long it takes you to decipher the ad for Jean-Paul Gaultier’s parfum pour homme, “Le Male” — then ask yourself whether you think the marketing strategy will help sales. Next forget I bothered to ask.
(Regarding my husband: His English is perfect, but he uses that one Franglais phrase which I find so unbelievably cute I never correct him.)
Maybe this post does have a theme. Let’s call it “spécial” using the French definition of the word: “particular, peculiar, odd, eccentric, bizarre.”
Holding that thought, how would you like a pair of those buggy sunglasses designed for Alain Mikli in collaboration with Delfina Delettrez? It appears the creature would be splat on the chin. Chacune son truc I guess. (“To each his own” — more or less.)
Not so nuts, unless you decide otherwise, is the canvas and leather paint-it-yourself sac from the Marni Summer Edition. All you need to express yourself is a brush, textile paint and an idea.
(An aside: I chose that hed up there [yes that’s how we spell “headline” in the biz. . .] because I thought it might bring in some one-off perusals from spécial people. A few months ago I did a post on women wearing men’s V-neck cardigans entitled: “Cross Dressing.” You have NO idea how many one second hits I got from disappointed visitors on that one.)
