I too have a penchant for these all-over-the-place passing fancy posts. Always there are scores of unrelated tidbits I’m certain would leave you disappointed — no, cheated — if I let them pass without passing them along.
So once again we’re off on a grand (J‘exagere) adventure, from quotes and nail polish to rings and things.
You may know this, but the way I look at it: If I don’t know something, probably some of you don’t either. This part I did know; we should keep our nail polish in the refrigerator. I did not realize the bottles were supposed to be stored in the door with the eggs.
Even though she’s not in our demographic, I know we all love Marion Cotillard. (And heaven knows we never want anyone to accuse us of age discrimination.) The other night she was on the French TV news promoting her latest film with Johnny Depp. When asked how she managed to exchange her French accent for a believable midwestern American one she said it took several months of non-stop lessons and practice. “But,” she added, “I really only like projects that are complicated. And learning a midwestern accent was very complex.”
(Please note: Apropos of yesterday’s post, Mademoiselle Cotillard has been wearing lots and lots of blue lately — day and night.)
No one can accuse Michelle Obama of not getting her money’s worth from her clear plastic Sonia Rykiel belts — one with a coral buckle, the other purple. It appears she took both to Moscow. The transparent part is a clever idea when you think about it: It’s a belt, but it’s really not, it’s basically only a buckle so it draws less attention to the cinch-in function of a belt, belt. See what I mean?
OK, moving along: Thought you would find these rings amusing, particularly those of you who have shoe fetishes — coupled with a sense-of-humor of course. If you’re having an “I am a princess kind of day” just slip on Delfina Delettrez’s ring (you may remember her as the creator of the unforgettable splat bug sunglasses a few posts back).
The big, make-a-statement blue bangle slipped through the culling process yesterday and since it’s a savvy signal and costs less than 10 Euros I figured you’d want to see it.
More on this non-theme theme tomorrow. . .
