As you can see, even the timid sightings of spring came only in flashes of sunshine, often sprinkled with rain, accompanied by strong winds. The temperatures were in the nippy range.
Result: Spring clothes stayed in their closets. This week it’s all about in-between dressing, no one dared venture out in linens and cottons without the protection of a jacket or a sweater.
Slowly, slowly (business card proffered as I start my spiel) I’m adding Parisiennes to the mix. One regrettable error on my side was a miss-pressed button on my camera that erased forevermore an absolutely stunning — and charming — woman in the 16th arrondissement, walking her corgi. If it’s their regular exercise area, perhaps if I return again and again to the spot I’ll find the two of them strolling together. It’s on the agenda.
The young woman, just above looked so sweet I couldn’t resist. What do you think about that Marc Jacobs bag?
I tried to convince a drop-dead elegant mother/daughter duo to be featured in this space, but they gently declined, explaining their fears — once again of the Internet. They bombarded me with compliments — which was pleasant, adding the refusal had nothing to do with me because I seemed “absolutely charming,” but they didn’t know me, so “non, merci.”
Argh, you would have loved them.
