Like so much in this life, almost everything is open to interpretation depending upon one’s mood and experience. For example, today’s subject. It can be viewed in several ways — or at least two.
One might call it “nagging,” while another could just as easily say, “a kind and gentle reminder.”
I call it repetition for emphasis or if you will: How many times do I have to say this before everyone shapes up and listens?
Documented Proof That I Still Have That Magic Touch. . .
Yes, here I go again: Les marinières and creoles. It was a year ago when I suggested they are musts. Remember? Take a quick look at these pages, the sailor t-shirts from the May issue of American Vogue and the variety of creoles from a recent Gala magazine. Enough said.
(FYI, no I do not subscribe to Gala, nor did I buy it. I had my hair trimmed.)
If you listened to me last year, imagine how avant garde you have been, but as you can see it’s not too late to act. Both are all over the streets of Paris on everyone from toddlers to their grandmothers.
Yum, Almost (almost) Too Pretty to Eat
Sunday we had a lovely outdoor dinner — the first this year — chez des amis. Dessert was a fresh red fruit salad and les pièces de résistence were these delectable rainbow eclairs from Fauchon.
Ditzy Florals. . .
You know where I stand on this issue: Not in this life thank you very much. However, and there is always a however in fashion, I’ve found these sweet culottes from Libertinette which I would definitely consider.
Add the top and you have a cool pair of summer pajamas. (Don’t even think about wearing the camisole thingie beyond your garden. Merci par avance.)
