A little bit of Paris, a little bit of the country.
Sunglasses are a truly magic accessory when one has a black eye. It’s amazing, even without sincere, direct eye contact (merely my stunningly chic [ahem] Ray-Ban Wayfarers with built in prescription. . .) two women in Paris actually allowed me to photograph them.
One right inside my favorite Monoprix. You can’t see them, but she’s wearing white quilted Chanel ballerines. Just thought you’d want to know that.
Note how Babette, standing in the doorway of her boutique, Coté Rue, slipped a plaid (you probably can’t see that detail either, but not important for this digression) vest over her strapless dress. Who would have thought of that? Details, details, details — it’s always the details. It changes everything about the feel of dress. You can see the soldes signs plastered all over her windows, she has great taste and fabulous finds in her shop.
