|“Beauty is nothing other than the promise of happiness.” Stendhal|
Last night, after a long conversation with my daughter — who lives zillions of miles away from us (Chicago, of course I never exaggerate) — I sent her the book above. She is in the throes of unpacking and decorating her new home and making color decisions, finding perfect arrangements and all the while trying to sort out the exciting possibilities of a new style of living.
I think the book looks like the perfect union of fun and function.
As I have mentioned on other occasions, she is a Virgo and from my experience with Virgos — I have several in my life including a sister-in-law and my best childhood friend — they like, no, let’s put it this way, they cannot live in disarray. My sister-in-law lines up the front row of her breakfast mugs (all white I might add) in a special order and wants everyone to take from the back so as not to break the symmetry.
Taking my cue from Andrea, after the usual weekend chores I plan to organize, organize, organize. Then I shall make my weekly bouquets. It’s an excellent plan, but I still haven’t finished last weekend’s to-do list which included “weed the potager.” It’s not easy being a Taurus.
Weather report: Chilly, intermittent sunshine, occasional large drops of rain with no conviction behind them and blue/gray skies.
I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.
