This week’s new fruit of the year* was a clementine. Not only are they delicious and nutritious, they look lovely in my silver Revere bowl.
I made my wish, the same one, ever hoping it will come true.
Now, what’s on the calendar for the week ahead you may be wondering? Well, that makes two of us or you and moi aussi.
This much I do know, probably (I hope), there will be something wonderful and inventive from my darling Marsi and although my stockpile is running low I still have two more Six-Pack wardrobe ideas from the brilliant Janice of The Vivienne Files.
Also, I plan on writing a post this week. Can you still your beating hearts. . .? It will be on what my daughter bought here to take back to the States. It’s always a two-way street. My French friends ask for favorite items from the other side and the other side gives requests — for this side. Don’t bother re-reading the previous sentence. You get the gist.
Weather report: Mornings until early afternoon, a magnificent cliche of what we love about autumn. The leaves are just beginning to turn. Early to mid-afternoon, the rains come. It’s important to try to get all chores accomplished before 2:30 p.m.
*Every new year, according to French custom probably invented by a couple of my friends, we can make a wish the first time we eat a fruit in that calendar year. All I can say is, thank goodness for the vast variety of apples out there because this wish of mine is extremely important and I can’t run out of fruit before it comes true.
