What’s to say? And, it’s “harvested by hand.”
She could work for Martha lining up towels in linen closets, straightening hangers, color-coding whatever she can get her hands on, arranging herbs and spices in some sort of logical way (?), finding the other sock that has been missing for months — behind the dryer. Who would look behind a dryer? As I’ve mentioned, she’s a Virgo. I think they were put on this earth to straighten out the lives of Tauruses.
(I’m assuming the plural of Taurus is attained by the addition of “es” — seems logical, but unverifiable among my gazillion dictionaries.)
The best part of Andrea’s swoop-ins is that she never gives me withering sighs or admonishing looks. Maybe it’s because at the end of the day she knows I’ll take her shopping.
Wonderful, simply wonderful. Ever since Andrea started using this mustard in the States her friends have asked for deliveries, but a couple jars of it weigh a ton.
As I was saying, the three-part series will consist of:
1.) La cuisine.
2.) Beauté et Maintenance.
3.) La Garde-Robe et Les Accessoires.
Today we shall head to the cuisine. Andrea bought everything from frangipane mix and salts to tea and coffee. Below is the remainder of her shopping expedition:
I found this soothing, delicious right-before-bed herbal tea and Drea was hooked.
A great everyday vegetable salt.
This one leaves me a little perplexed, but according to Drea this coffee is superb. I drink one super strong cup every morning and think it’s delicious, but I didn’t know it tipped over into “best ever.”
Apparently when she whips up something with frangipane for dinner parties she gets rave reviews. This stuff is obscenely delicious.
She bought a bag of these mini candy bars for her husband who claims they’re his favorite. (Will is also obsessed with the Maille mustard pictured above. She is sometimes obliged to hide it from him.)
Next week, her beauty and maintenance buys. I had a huge influence on those purchases as you can imagine. . . I may not alphabetize my herbs and spices, though I agree it’s a brilliant idea, but I know what’s what in the makeup/take-care-of-your-skin-before-it’s-too late realms.
