|“Paris is always a good idea.” Audrey Hepburn|
Well, well, well. . . Imagine that. Maybe another headline that might work equally well would be: “What the French Know” with a subtitle that might suggest, “And We Could Learn” — or something on that theme.
The headline above was on Michele Willens’s recent Huffington Post piecehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/michele-willens/face-it-look-whos-sexy-now_b_3968432.html
Since discovering her through one of my friends, Carol Holding, who also writes for the Huff Post, I have become addicted to her brilliant writing and fascinating approach to the subject of aging and just getting on with life. I particularly loved her post about how we become our mothers. I’m watching Andrea for any similarities between the two of us — I feel as if she has greatly improved on the original model — and I’m examining myself to see if I detect any signs of my mother.
What was particularly touching about Michele’s approach was that she said becoming our mothers — unlike others who have addressed the subject before her — might actually be a good thing.
If you have a minute, please tell me what you think. And, yes, I am thrilled by that one paragraph inside her story.
