Many of you may recall that I am addicted to Eau de Bleuet, a simple, no-tech, cornflower and distilled water “tonic” that has been, I’ve been told, on the vanity tables of Frenchwomen for centuries.
The gorgeous blue bottles are also a lovely accessory in our bathrooms.
Now, as promised, here is this week’s first beauty trick with one of my all-time favorite products:
1 bottle eau de bleuet (will last for months)
1 package of simple, round makeup remover pads
Servings: It depends, but probably hundreds.
Gather several makeup remover pads and saturate them with cornflower water. Put the pads in the refrigerator’s freezer. Leave overnight.
The next morning — or whenever — take out two pads, whisk them around a bit so they are not icy cold, lie down, close your eyes (do I need to say that?) put the pads on your eyelids and relax.
In 15 minutes: no more puffiness, no more itching, no more stress. (Of course you can’t lie there thinking about everything you have to do and worry about the day ahead. You must cooperate and think about a field of cornflowers or something. . .) Et voila.
A demain for more. . .
