|A herd of elephants on an extra large scarf, $19.99.|
My, my, my quelle polemic. . . I had no idea my observations on the sorry state of sartorial sloppiness that seems to be rampant in the world today would elicit such fervent responses. Of course I respect all of your opinions even when I don’t necessarily agree with you.
One criticism though, which I believe was unfounded — unfair really — came from those of you who accused me of elitism, even snobbery pointing out that some people do not have the wherewithal to dress with care and dare I say (?) style.
The very definition of style is an expression of one’s personality and taste. I may love to wear only black and navy blue which you may find stultifyingly boring and prefer orange or purple or red or green or magenta. To each her own.
But let’s talk the economics of dressing well shall we? Today I have pulled together a budget friendly travel wardrobe. I did all my shopping at Target from accessories to the main event. I’ve built the pieces around navy, but most of the items come in a variety of colors. In the days to come I shall bump-up the budget, but I did want to prove a point.
Please, do not hesitate to offer your opinions.
