I am actively investigating the controversy over whether one can teach an old dog new tricks, my being the old dog in the experiment. You will have a front row seat.
If you are half as disappointed in me as I am in myself for being such a slacker these days, please let me begin the new year with a sincere apology.
Officially, as of today, I will be back to my regular posting schedule. At the moment I’m trying, with the help of a couple of my wonderful blogging friends — Une Femme and Janice — to teach myself how, technically (there’s the problem, “technically”) to create new possibilities in this space. Specifically, I want to have regular weekly outfit whatchamacallits (I think that would be “templates” technically speaking) wherein I can pull together outfits, accessories, colors, etc. that I like and that I hope would help us all expand the possibilities of what we already own.
Cherie will be back whether she likes it or not. . .
I’ve decided not to make any radical resolutions this year about personal self-improvement (they’ve tended to be futile in the past), but do feel that I would like to assemble a few changes here. I think I’ll try to find Cherie and convince her to re-start her column. She’s been traveling and partying and shopping and just generally avoiding me. I plan to put an end to her frivolous ways, at least from time-to-time. Please feel free to submit questions to her. It makes her feel important.
I also plan to do interviews in Paris and some simultaneous posts with Pseu (Une Femme) like the one we did for holiday parties last year. We have another planned for later this month and I have an interview scheduled with an old friend, a brilliant award-winning fashion journalist, who just wrote her second book and will be in Paris in a couple of weeks. And, when I muster up my courage, I’ll hit the streets to take pictures. These are just a few of the surprises planned for 2015.
Here’s to us and all good things in the year ahead.
All of this is to say I’m feeling excited and energized about the new year in this space as well as a couple of other things I’ll explain later.
Please tell me your ideas, what you would like me to explore for you?
Tomorrow I’ll be back with a different sort of conversation and some of you may not agree with me. We shall see. . .
