It’s freezing here today.
OK, slight exaggeration, but it’s quite nippy requiring, in my case, two sweaters, a scarf (cotton), and my trusty trench. On the positive side, the sun is brilliant and the flowers and fruit trees in the garden seem not at all disturbed by the temperatures.
Just changed the freesias in the simple vases I found years ago in a brocante. I realize they’re looking quite fatigued. The beauty of these boring soliflores is that you don’t need a large bouquet to have a certain impact.
Andrea made the pottery fruit at their feet. It makes me feel closer to her when every day I see something she made for me.
I hope you’re having a lovely Sunday.
Ed. Note: I mentioned in my comment on yesterday’s post, which btw you turned into a fascinating conversation, that I’ve got that old desire to whip up a few comfortable wardrobes to prove that comfort and style are not mutually exclusive. And, of course jeans can be part of the proposition. After all, Frenchwomen prove every day that jeans can be chic.
Please let me know what you think.
Merci par avance.
