Continuing our black-tie dress-up game. . .
As you can see, I’ve chosen five long gowns I think both French and American women would wear if they were invited to a gala soirée. You’ll note the vertiginous heels that accompany each one.
Those shoes are for the beginning of the evening, for the grand entrance. As the night wears on and perhaps dancing becomes part of the festivities, you can discreetly slip into your ballerinas.
(If you’re thinking I haven’t taken the length of the dress into consideration with the change of footwear, remember we’re playing in la-la land.)
Now, scrolling down please and you’ll see that I’ve accessorized in two different ways on either side of the dress. Theoretically the choices are supposed to have either more of a French, or more of an American vibe.
I’m not sure. You can let me know.
Tomorrow we’ll conclude our little diversion. Then I’ll move on because some of you have told me that you don’t want me to spend my life constructing outfits.
You see, I always listen to you.
