The theme continues and, as always, the vertical base is either navy or black. Since we are by the fashion world’s definition, well into summer the trousers are always linen. The fabric for the tops varies.
I’ve tossed the jackets today, thus changing the mood entirely.
The black linen Equipment shirt is about as classic as you can get, but by adding a cummerbund and gold accessories, particularly the ballerinas and the straw clutch, they give a simple, sophisticated look a fun vibe. I would turn back the cuffs on the shirt and when it gets dark, push the sunglasses up to make a headband. (I realize some people hate that look, but I love it and like the way it holds my hair off of my face without fussing. My sunglasses are also prescription so I always know where to find them.)
The navy outfit is quite different. The silk top is made to be worn outside the pants which offers a different, less strict look, then the accessories take the uniform in two slightly divergent directions.
In a perfect world I would own either the gold or the silver Jimmy Choo ballerinas. I think the form is exquisitely sleek and feminine.
Tomorrow I’m giving you more color, on top of the same uniform foundation of course.
