Time and time again, these summer skirts prove they are timeless and ageless. When everyone else is wearing trousers, wouldn’t it be fun to slip into a skirt?
I look at these skirts and think, “I’ve got us covered.” Knees, arms. . .you know the drill. The sweet polka dot sweat can be worn over all of the tops or alone with any of the skirts — a look I particularly like — with two or three buttons left carelessly undone.
There is something fresh, clean and ready-to-go anywhere crisp about the ever stylish black and white mix. The combination is so pure and perfect and open to myriad possibilities that I’ve gotten slightly obsessed with it.
This is it though. I’m moving on, not necessarily from skirts but from noir et blanc.
I found what appears to be a just right peasant blouse and in black (how exciting is that!?). It’s not too la-dee-da, but still imparts the Brigitte Bardot Côte d’Azur attitude I was trying to find.
With the white skirt I think the black and white striped off-the-shoulder t-top is another great find. Surely some of us have been working on our arms in the gym. If not, you can see you have many, many other options. How about a smart tuxedo shirt, sleeves rolled up of course it’s summer after all we don’t want to look too buttoned up, or a wide striped t-shirt with sleeves that are short, but not disturbingly so.
About our legs, if you stay out of they sun it’s time to investigate self-tanner. If you hate the idea of bare legs and that “problem” would be a deterrent from wearing a skirt, either visit a salon where someone will do the work for you or find a creamy, easy to apply — that means no streaks — product that is easy to use. One of my best friends likes the auto-bronzing pads with just the right dose of product. She claims they are mistake-free.
If you have dark skin, lucky you. Just add lotion or a dry oil. The shimmery Huile Prodieuse from Nuxe is gorgeous on all skin tones.
Remember, just about every beauty problem has a solution.
