Today I’m having lunch with two friends. We met in the fun-filled virtual world of blogging, then we decided we wanted to move to the next level — face-to-face in real time. And, as a result, true friendships have developed.
We will be in my little corner of the world, specifically in the town where we do our shopping — sort of midway between Versailles and Rambouillet — and 45 minutes from Paris, except during rush hours (five minutes from our front door, there are no rush hours out here).
This is what we have planned:
- Photo ops and maybe some shopping chez Babette.
- Perhaps a quick “pop-in” to see my pal Christine in her pharmacy, which is next door to Babette’s boutique.
Unfortunately rain is predicted which means we may not be able to have lunch in the breathtakingly gorgeous garden of the restaurant I chose. Since I imagine we will be submerged in conversation, I suppose we will quickly forget our surroundings.
I’m in the lovely position of presenting my two friends to each other. They both know the other from their blogs, but have never met in the real world.
I suspect you’ll read about details on all of our blogs. I can guarantee you will read about our day in this space.
First though I will be starting my morning with my advanced English conversation class, so I’m off. . .
