Let me tell you my definition of a perfect day: Spending an entire afternoon with girlfriends.
Passing time with the kind of friends when the enthusiasm is electric, where we try to squeeze in so much conversation that we have to remind ourselves that everyone is talking at the same time.
I had one of those days last Friday with Susan of the absolutely brilliant blog Une Femme and my great friend Sharon Santoni creator of the exquisitely charming blog, My French Country Home (and very soon a gorgeous book).
Susan and I have known each other for years now and, like my friendship with Sharon, we met through our blogs. Sometimes I think this fun-filled world is like one of those match making sites, only better.
Probably the very best part of our day together was the occasion for me to introduce Sharon and Susan, apart from the fact they both know each other in the virtual world I’ve been doing pre meet and greet publicity on each of them, promising them they will really, really like each other.
And, they did. I knew they would.
Today we’re giving you just a hint of what we did, lunch and a visit chez Babette. Next week, when Susan will be back in California, we’ll coordinate and share all the details of our time together. Today is her last day in Paris and I’m sure she plans to savour every second.
As always, I’ll miss her. Sharon and I were trying to convince her to have a little conversation with Le Monsieur about buying a petite maison in our corner of the world.
She seemed to think it was a good idea.
