La chemise blanche could perhaps be considered a cliché if it weren’t for the fact that it exists in almost infinite permutations.
From a strict shirt to a frou-frou ruffled blouse, there is something for everyone and just about every occasion. I love pleats and can happily live without ruffles.
Recently, I discovered this slightly boxy blouse and would love to own it. It looks to be so very easy to wear. It doesn’t involve tucking in, often a flattering bonus, and it has just enough structure to make it crisp.
I think it can go casual chic or dressed-up chic.
Some of you, you’ve told me, don’t like white-white shirts, but remember even in this context there are slight nuances on the color — vanilla, cream, pearl, ivory, alabaster to cite a few.
Here then are the three ways I think our grandmother, mother and daughter family might wear this very pretty chemise.
I can imagine many, many more ways of wearing it.
Do you like it?
