Just in: Andrea’s photos from last night’s Dîner en Blanc in Chicago’s Federal Plaza beneath the enormous outdoor Calder and Picasso sculptures.
She told me that it was an exceptional evening and that they are looking forward to attending again next year. “And,” she said, “next time we’ll have a more interesting dinner. We were surrounded by people with delicious food.”
Now, all I can think is: One day I would like to be invited to Un Dîner en Blanc.
Actually, I would like to be invited to Un Dîner en Noir because I would have a huge choice of outfits in my closet.
But, then again, the whole atmosphere would be rather sad I suppose. . . black table clothes, napkins, glasses, plates, candles.
