Now, wasn’t that a clever headline?
Yes, I’m back and I’m in Chicago. Tomorrow I fly off to Kansas City, MO., to sign books in the spectacular Nell Hill’s store (please click on the book icon in the right column for details and please do try to come).
Last week I promised to tell you about another of Valerie Gallais’s favorite products. Even though I normally only see her once each year, she never disappoints with some new tricks and treats that she promises will be life changing (context) for our skin.
The final 10 to 15 minutes of my appointment with Dr. Gallais are always the most fun. I feel as if I’m doing my due diligence on the serious dermatological front when she does the head-to-toe skin check-up and then we wrap up the visit with her new finds.
Recently she recommended I add Oxelio Topique gel from the Jaldes laboratory to my daily skincare regime. Oxelio, as you can see, comes in a tube and what you cannot see is the very bright orange gel within. The reason why it is her latest obsession is because the gel is loaded with antioxidants.
It is billed as: An Anti-oxidant serum that adds extra protection to sunscreen and moisturising products by protecting the skin from sun damaging free radicals. The ingredients feature pure and natural — with no preservatives or fragrance — vitamin C and E Lycopene and carotenoids which help protect skin from the harmful effects of the sun.
Oxelio Topique is formulated to minimize the harmful activity of free radicals produced by ultraviolet radiation—and it’s moisturizing.
It is not a sunscreen product.
This is how Dr. Gallais told me to use it: “Put a noisette of your Eucerin Hylaron Filler Night in the palm of your hand and add three to four drops of the Oxelio Topique gel to the cream, rub your hands together and apply as usual over your face, neck and don’t forget your chest.”
Of course I buy it at the pharmacy where I purchase all of my beauty care products.
