On March 6, I’m off to the States again and, as you know, weeks before I leave I ask my family and friends what they would like from France.
Today I thought I would tell you what is on Ella’s list, not that Ella makes lists mind you (even though she is brilliant and could if she wanted to. . . ahem.).
Her mother requested two CDs and a book in French to add to her collection. The singing CDs will be a first. Andrea wants her to become familiar and comfortable with French in a way she won’t even realize she will be learning another language.
She and Ella speak only French during bath time.
Then I added my little extras to the list: an apron with French pastries, grenouille stickers and an aroma therapy balm for babies. Christine, my pharmacist friend, is an expert on aroma therapy and recommends this one when babies have nasty winter colds and have difficulty breathing.
It smells wonderful and it works.
This will be a continuing series. I’ll tell you what I’m packing for Andrea, Will (my adorable son-in-law), and a couple of special friends.
Now I’m off to get my hair balayaged — I don’t think that’s a word when one adds the “d” but you know what I mean.
A demain mes très, très, chers amis.
