Yesterday I forgot to add a little item that I think is great fun, Take It Easy from Solyvia.
Now, does it work? Who knows? Still, it’s French, offers an enticing promise and it smells wonderful. Actually, the laboratory is in Corsica and although the Corsicans claim they want to secede from the nation, for the moment Corsica is still French.
Need I add that it’s a Christine discovery? I didn’t think so. And, of course again, this is another aroma therapy/essential oil favorite of hers. Truly, all things “bio” and plant based are her obsessions.
I don’t understand the ingredients and forgot to ask Christine to translate the Latin plant names into a language I would understand, but I can tell you that it’s a pleasure to deeply inhale the fragrance.
The little bottle has a roll-on applicator and Christine says to apply it on the wrists where it is easily accessible for a quick whiff when one is feeling stressed.
Probably the gesture itself, to stop and smell the wrists (smell the roses?), is a reasonable placebo wherein one takes the time to pause — think mindfulness — and perhaps relax and “take it easy” for a few moments.
OK, I’m off to Chicago tomorrow. We’ll talk on Monday. I have a lot to report from the birthday celebration yesterday of My-Reason-For-Living-In-France, plus a beauty addition I tried that I haven’t dared do for more than 30 years.
See you next week. xo
