You know how it is with me, once I like something I sort of can’t stop talking about it. (Remember the recent extended LBD series?)
One more time I would like to discuss les marinières. I’ll keep it short because, really, what’s to say except they are that particularly fresh, pretty French invention that looks perfect on children, even babies in onesies, and their great-great grandmothers.
There are not an unlimited number of clothing choices that can be worn from birth to forever. One might argue jeans, I would not, but that’s me.
I have a thing for tuxedo jackets, with or without their matching trousers. It may take a petit dose of style courage to wear one with jeans, but a Frenchwoman would. And, I think they are charming with a marinière, simply to change up the look a bit.
To think all of this started because I rediscovered my collection well hidden in my neat, though not well organized, t-shirt drawer. I even found one that’s a débardeur. I had no idea I owned one of those. (Note to self: start vertical rolling method.)
There is a lot to be said for shopping in one’s closet.
