Where to begin? It seems that all I do these days is offer up excuses and apologies, so here I go again. . .
I’ve been in the midst of non-stop interviews for my book, which is to say I’m having an absolutely brilliant, interesting, revelatory time learning all sorts of new, inspirational, aspirational, practical, extraordinary lessons.
Here’s the plan: For the next week, I will share a few of the things I’ve learned while we’ve been apart for these many days.
My hope is that some of the things I’ve learned over the last few weeks and months will be surprising for you as well. (I won’t tell you everything of course, but I cannot help wanting to share some fun tricks and treats.)
Late last night I returned from a few days at Baumanière. If I were to tell you that one could describe every aspect of this elegantly luxurious five star Relais & Chateau with its two-star Michelin restaurant, L’Oustau, and Sisley spa as a magically paradisal oasis of calm and charm, I promise you I am not exaggerating in the least.
Over the next few days, though perhaps not sequentially, I’ll tell you more including what I learned about olive oil, la joie de vivre and the importance of fidelity.
Ed. Note: The promised surprises are coming, but they’re taking more time than I expected. (You know how it is with me and technology.)
