Welcome to what I thought would be the final installment of the photographs from the November French American Chamber of Commerce Passport to France gala at the Union League Club in Chicago. However, I have several more to show you so the series has been extended.
This is such a fun party and the food is out-of-this-world, as is the wine. I plan on attending next year. The event is always on the third Thursday of November. If you’re in or near Chicago, I hope you’ll come and we can sit down over a glass of something (or a plate of something) and talk. Now is the time to save-the-date on your new 2017 calendar.
I had lunch in Paris yesterday with my pal, Susan of Une Femme fame, and while we were strolling les rues in the sixth and seven arrondissements I saw at least 20 women I could have photographed. I didn’t ask them because Susan and I were so busy talking I didn’t want to interrupt our conversation. But, I’m telling you this because I felt a renewed confidence — why I have no idea — that I may be psychologically ready to hit the streets again with my camera, or my phone.
Never mind being rebuffed, I thought, I’ll just forge ahead. I know you like the on-the-street pix and I really like to entertain you.
