Back to the subject of that three to seven minute time frame when we glance at someone and make myriad judgements about what their appearance is communicating to the world. I thought I would show you what I’ll be wearing on the plane today when I fly back to Paris.
I’m not a jeans person although I like them on others, so I prefer to wear linen pants in the summer and wool in the winter. Without exception all the pieces you see in the set will be my extremely comfortable travel outfit. The Bompard cashmere stole in blue with black polka dots works as a scarf with the coat and as a wrap on the plane.
My manicure yesterday included “Party on A Platform” from Essie’s fall/winter 2016 collection.
Although the Lands’ End coat, if you click on it will take you to a petite size mine is in tall. For some reason I couldn’t get the tall to load up. I love this coat and it comes in regular, tall, petite and plus sizes. It looks and feels more expensive than it is.
Ballerinas are my go-to shoes for just about any occasion. I have the ones pictured here in black calf and in black suede.
Whenever I leave, whether coming to Chicago from Paris to the reverse like today, it is always a rather bittersweet. On one side I leave My-Reason-For-Living-In-France (and Charlotte of course), on this side I’m leaving Drea, Ella and Will. I’m also leaving Otis, the family’s new lab/something else mix puppy from the animal shelter. He is incredibly sweet and Ella absolutely loves him.
Coming up in the days ahead: Pictures from the French American Chamber of Commerce soirée taken by the evening’s photographer (as promised), and a series of posts on holiday gifts. I’ve found some lovely, unexpected things for you.
