Who better than Lauren Hutton as a perfect symbol of striding purposely into the new year with hope and promise?
Whether you’re thrilled that 2016 is behind you or you will miss its fulfilling excitement, the future always holds the irresistible exhilaration of possibility. The notion that we can resolve to change (just a little), accomplish something new, realize a dream — what’s not to love about a new year?
The party is over, so now we can look forward to fresh debuts, white pages (or screens) waiting to be filled, maybe even a little reinvention. In many ways there is more to celebrate on January 1 and moving forward than the end of the previous year — no looking backward unless we were building on the future. That’s one of my new year’s resolutions.
I hope each of you, in all the ways you hope and wish, have a joy-filled new year and that you see your dreams come true in 2017.
Once again, thank you for your visits, thank you for following me, thank you for visiting my new venture on Instagram (often late to the party, but still joining in and having fun), thank you for your encouragement, your affection, your kindness, your generosity and also your criticism when you don’t agree with me. If repetition is for emphasis, than I shall never cease to repeat how much I appreciate you.
Happy, Happy New Year and Bonne Année!
P.S.: There is still time to tell me if you would like to be part of the new year giveaway. I’ll announce the winners next week. Please visit me on Instagram, I’m trying to expand my areas of expertise. . .
