As I finish my chapters and insert add-ins to those already off to my editor, I cannot help wondering: What would you like to see? What would you like to read?
The new book will cover style and beauty — of course — but this time there is much more. Furthermore beauty, style, and elegance have a far broader context than our favorite products or what’s in our closets.
I know we all like “actionable” information, as my great friend Marsi often reminds me. But beyond the practical, are you like me in the sense that you love a good story, some historical background, anecdotes? At the very least the details can be woven into conversation, which makes them somewhat actionable. In my opinion, one doesn’t exclude the other.
In one of my favorite interviews, a stunning (and absolutely adorable) Parisian told me that either when she gives or attends a dinner party she is always somewhat disappointed when the evening ends and “I haven’t learned something new or had a conversation with someone who made me realize something I’ve never considered before.”
What do you think?
