Yes, I tested it before investing and, yes, it is an investment, and yes it is worth every centime, penny or whatever your currency may be.
In one of my recent excursions I interviewed aesthetician, Cécile Ledru, who works with the luxe French brand, Sisley. We talked about many skin related subjects, not all associated with the brand for which she works. At the end of our interview I asked her what she thought I “needed” in her vast product collection.
She recommended three products, two of which resulted in a terrible burning sensation and left my face startlingly red. Poor Cécile panicked. We just doused me with lots of cold water and eventually everything calmed down. Another lesson about trying before buying.
However, and the However in this story is where things got interesting. She suggested I try Sisley’s Global Perfect Pore Minimizer. I tested with samples — no red alert. Then I bought my first Global Perfect pore minimizer and the results promised come under the minuscule cosmetic category of very, very close to “magic.”
The pale pink lotion, distributed from a chic — as in it looks pretty in the bathroom — pump container smooths and refines the skin. It instantly tightens pores, corrects irregularities while at the same time acting as a hydrating astringent (not contradictory it seems). The effect is a beautiful matte finish.
Daily use results in long-term smooth, even texture. It can be worn alone or as the first step before applying one’s regular skin care products, like moisturizer for example, then foundation if necessary.
Very little is needed, just one pump. When I’m working from home, I start the day with my single pump followed by moisturizer, and nothing more. I’m certain there are months of pumps in the bottle.
